Tom was my oldest and closest friend. I first met Tom in 6th grade in Mr. Dearborns' class at Collins View School. We were both new to Portland and formed a lasting friendship. He became like a member of our family. Over the years we shared many adventures together: Boy Scouts, raft trips, golf, road trips, concerts, parties, and shared jobs. We always supported each other as we learned our way through life. Tom has a place in my heart forever. RIP buddy!

I had the good fortune to work with Tom during two balloon data collections in 2018 and 2020. I admired his breadth of knowledge and calm nature. Tom was always supportive and patient with the requests I made. TRIPPWIRE is a success, thanks to Tom's leadership. I, along with many others, will miss him.

If you would like help with any matters related to casualty assistance, Defense Finance & Accounting Service, Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP), Veterans Affairs (VA), etc. you can contact our office on Buckley AFB at 720-847-6693. The RAO is staffed by volunteers, all military retirees themselves, and our sole purpose is to provide assistance to any military retirees and surviving spouses/family members with anything related to their military service and/or benefits, in particular during difficult times such as this. I had the privilege to sit near Tom at work in 2017 - 2018. I loved getting to know him. What a great guy! One frequent subject we talked about was baseball and his frustration with the Colorado Rockies player decisions. After I moved to sit at a different location in the building I'd still make an effort to see him for a chat. Rest easy Colonel!

Tommy was my big brother and hero. He was an amazing, yet humble person that left this world much too soon. I am finding it hard to come up with words that represent how much sorrow I feel losing my brother....this is a devastating loss for many people, including his beautiful girls and gorgeous loving wife. Tommy and I just lost our mother 7 months ago and this is so much for the family. Tommy, may you rest with the Angels. I'll forever love you.....
