I lost contact with Ryan once I left college. I can't forget his spunk and guts he had on every campout we had for scouts. If there was a definition for a "full send" in the 2000s, his picture would be in the dictionary. I always admired his persistence and willingness to commit to whatever he wanted. Much love. RIP.

We have so many fond memories of Ryan from our time together in Japan. Ryan was brave and adventurous; I remember all of us climbing Mt. Fuji together in such bad weather. When I think of Ryan I think of my son Kevin. Those two! They hung out in Germany and later in Colorado Springs. Lots of shenanigans, but oh, such big hearts!! I always noticed a little twinkle in Ryan's eyes and he had such a happy smile that lit up his entire face. I was one of Ryan's teachers at Patch High School, and I want you to know that I loved having Ryan in my classroom. I remember his big smile and how he would make us laugh. Ryan's peers truly enjoyed being around him. He was a fun and lovable young man, and Ryan will be in my teacher heart forever!

Ryan was a huge part of my life during my time at Patch High School. He pulled me out of my comfort zone time and time again and many of my most treasured memories from that time are all because of Ryan and his Type A personality. We eventually grew apart, because that's life... especially when you're growing up in a military community. Ryan is the type of man you never forget. In many ways, I have him to thank for making me who I am today. I truly believe that Ryan is the reason I ended up enlisting in the Army. An experience I would never take back. I'll always treasure my memories with Ryan and all the ridiculous shenanigans we got up to in Stuttgart. Love you, Ryan. I'll never forget you.

Ryan had a profound impact upon my life, which unfortunately I didn't realize until too late. We were friends in high school, and my time there would not have been complete without him. He challenged me in ways no one had or has since then. I'll always remember him as he was, always with a smile on his face. He was a fiercely loyal friend, and always an optimist. To me he'll always be the guy who wore a bright green sweater to a metal concert where every single other person was wearing black. I believe he was a truly great man, and I was truly better off for having known him. Rest easy, brother. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
