Obituary of Brian Jay Wittkamp
Brian Wittkamp, age 60, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, died on Thursday, December 24, 2020 with his loving wife, Rose, at his side. He bravely fought a long hard battle with diabetes and kidney failure.�Brian was born September 20, 1960 in Shelby, Michigan. He was a Security Police Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force from 1978 through 1992. He continued working in the security field for most of his life�in both Ohio and Colorado�before retiring in 2012.�He is preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Phil and Rae French; sisters-in-law, Beth Schindly, Lynn French, Barbara French-Gebeau; and brother-in-law, Dwayne French.Brian is survived by his wife, Rose Wittkamp; father, Walter Wittkamp; mother, Donna (John) Aiken; brother, Alan (Belinda) Wittkamp; nephews and niece, Cody Wittkamp, Phillip (Amanda) French, Jennifer (Tommy) Kvoriak, Tyler Gibson, Braeden Schindly; great-niece and great-nephew, Colin and Raegan Kvoriak; and sister-in-law, Cheryl Gebeau.�Brian and Rose met in the Air Force and they just�celebrated their 30th�anniversary on May 12, 2020. He was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Brian loved spending time with his mini schnauzers, Sophie and Franklin, watching movies, and reading about and collecting absolutely everything that caught his interest. He and Rose�loved to travel, their two favorite vacation spots were Aruba and Las Vegas. Brian was extremely funny, creative, and always up for a good joke or an interesting conversation. We will all miss his laugh and his sweet smile.�Per Brian's wishes there will be no ceremony or celebration of life. He just wanted everyone to celebrate the great memories you had with him over the years.
