Obituary of MSgt Jerry Paul Warren, USAF

Jerry Paul Warren was born November 3, 1933 to Bernice Jarutha and John Paul Warren in Etowah County, Alabama. He died December 27, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This holiday season we lost the most loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather that any family could have ever had. We were so blessed to have him through Christmas day, and share our laughter, our songs, our memories, and our love. Our father served twenty-three years in the United States Air Force, including two terms overseas during The Vietnam War. He worked as an electronic engineer until his retirement in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1996.He was married to our mother, Del, for sixty-four years. Jerry and Del moved to Colorado in 2003 to be closer to their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was an avid lover of the outdoors, and adored camping, hiking, fishing, and playing the guitar next to the campfire. He also loved family road trips, even those where his children argued about where to eat, the long car ride, motion sickness, and the close proximity to each other; and where we all sang songs and played travel games like slug-bug and license plate scavenger hunt. Our dad had a love of adventure and travel and always wanted to see what was around the next bend. We hope that his adventure continues around the next bend. Although our hearts are broken, we are greatly comforted by the fact that God made him our dad, that we learned kindness, compassion, and acceptance from him, and that we had so many wonderful and joyful times together.Jerry is survived by his wife, Delma Warren; his daughters, Debra Manduzio, Jeri Lynn Onkle, Denise Warren, Karen Parks, and Alison Warren; his sons-in-law, Jim Manduzio, Coleman Onkle, Keith McKenzie, Juergen Parks, and Jason Roberts; his grandchildren, Michael Manduzio and Laura Manduzio, Torey Warren and Jimmy Zamora, Lari Lynn Johnson and Robert Carpenter, Jerry Paul Johnson, Indigo Parks, and Liam Parks; and his great-grandchildren, Dakota Warren-McKenzie and Carmela May Manduzio; his sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Bob Swearingen; in-laws, Eva Pino, Beatrice Alcon, Nina and Morris Duran, Niza Hernandez, Nazario and Pam Montoya, Rudy and Patsy Montoya, Annabelle and Frank Martinez, Alex and Yvonne Montoya, Delores Valdez, Ruth Warren; and numerous nieces and nephews.A private Visitation will be held from 5:00PM-8:00PM, Wednesday, January 6, 2021.
