I just found out that Gilbert passed away and I am so sorry that I didn't express my condolences earlier. I talked to him a couple of weeks before he died. I worked with him back in the 60's at Astro-Met and we have stayed in touch ever since. A great man and I still have a message from him on my phone so I can hear his voice again. Love to you all. To Phyllis Norris Moore: I was exceedingly sorry to hear about Gil's passing due to cancer. He made his impact on the world in ways both big and small, and his impact was profound in my life. I would offer a Bible verse as some small measure of comfort for you as you endure the loss of your husband: 2 Tim. 1:10 - But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel

Gil Moore was such an amazing individual and he will be truly missed. He left a legacy at USU and within the Rocky Mountain Space Grant Consortium with his project Starshine. He was always so full of energy and enthusiasm for life and I learned a lot from him just by being around him. We give our best to Phyllis and the family. -- Kim Olson
