Obituary of Linda Marie Spoehr

Linda Marie Spoehr, 71, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away December 28, 2020 at home after a year-long battle with cancer.She was born August 17, 1949 to John and Geneva Hanges in Appleton, Wisconsin.Linda went to high school at Xavier High School in Appleton, Wisconsin and graduated in 1967. She worked as an expanded function dental assistant for the civil service for twenty years. She received a citation from the United States Army in 2003 for her work preparing troops for Desert Storm.Linda enjoyed traveling, especially cruising, with her husband, Dale. She was an avid reader and passed her love of reading to her children. Linda was a loyal and supportive Army wife for twenty-three years.After heart surgery in 2016, she quit smoking, but the long-term effects surfaced late last year. Her husband asks that you please quit if you smoke, the consequences to your family are too great.Linda is preceded in death by her brother, John Michael Hanges.She is survived by her husband, Dale Richard Spoehr of Colorado Springs; daughter, Rebecca Ellen (Kevin) Ferrini of Colorado Springs; two sons, Joseph Bryce Spoehr of Colorado Springs and Michael Leigh (Jacqueline Morales) Spoehr of Omaha, Nebraska; four grandchildren, Thomas, Patrick, Matthew, and Kyla; her brother, Keith J. Hanges of Darboy, Wisconsin; and her sister, Tina Marie Ferro of Sheboygan, Wisconsin.Linda's passing was honored in a private ceremony.
