Obituary of Sally Marie Barinque
Sally Marie (Delumpa) Barinque, born in Pasig, Philippines, on November 3, 1939, passed away on January 12, 2021, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, at the age of 81. Sally was a homemaker and a devoted military spouse who supported her husband's twenty-nine year military career. After he retired, they settled in Colorado Springs, Colorado where she was an Administrative Assistant for Colorado State University Cooperative Extension, and for the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. After her husband fell ill, they relocated to San Antonio, Texas and Sally just recently moved back home to Colorado Springs. Sally was a woman of deep faith and will always be remembered for her kindness, passion for life, unconditional love for her family and a wonderful sense of humor. Sally is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Justiniana Delumpa; her daughter-in-law, Patricia Barinque and her husband of fifty-four years, Leonardo Barinque. She is survived by her six children, Steven, Edward (Nora), Lori Anne (Paul), Mark (Romola), Christopher (Jessica), Christina; as well as eighteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her seven siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.A Visitation will be held from 6:00PM - 8:00PM, with The Rosary to be recited at 7:00PM, on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma, Texas.
