Obituary of Caroline Kay Lane

Caroline was a beautiful soul and kind heart that touched the lives of many people over the course of her lifetime. She is the oldest of seven siblings that she loved and cared for deeply. Caroline began her young adult life as a loving mother and wife while she worked in the health care field as an EKG technician. She loved to travel, camp, and fish with her family. She loved taking Jeep trips and participated in her son's football and sports activities, where she was elected team mom. Caroline later moved to Idaho to help care for her seven grandchildren and began working at a group home for at-risk youth, where she spent forty years between Idaho and Colorado working. She cared for thousands of children over the years, with hopes of changing their lives for the better. After Idaho, Caroline moved to Colorado Springs to be around family, where she had spent some of her childhood. She discovered a new enjoyment in ocean cruises while she spent time with her family, and was always planning new travels. She is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Howard Lane; her parents, Leland and Wanda Lee; and two brothers, Terry and Eddie Lee.Caroline is survived by her son, Zackery Jason Lane (Toni Davis); seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frankie and Lonnie Lee; two sisters, Shirley (Seth) Myers and Sharon (Doug) Evans Lee; and her nephew, Jacob Evans.Caroline was a loving spirit that could always put a smile on someone's face, she loved to have fun and jokes always seemed to follow. She lived to help and care for others and could warm a room with laughter, love, and compassion. Caroline was a shoulder to cry on, a teacher with more wisdom than could ever be taught, and a love that could never be broken. Heaven truly gained another angel.A private Memorial Service will be held at 10:30AM, Thursday, January 21, 2021.
