Obituary of Ronald Ray Steinkirchner

Ronald "Ron" Ray Steinkirchner was born January 13, 1952 to Al and Ethel Steinkirchner at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Ron left this world on Friday, January 22, 2021, ending his battle with pancreatic cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert E. Steinkirchner. Ron is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Debbie; his mother, Ethel R. Steinkirchner; brothers, Gene Steinkirchner (wife, Fran), Russ Steinkirchner (wife, Cathy); and sister, Lynn Martin (husband, Jim); nieces, Jeannie Mueller (husband, Steve) and Robin Schawe (husband, Jeff), and their two children, Blake and Kennedy.Ron was raised in Colorado Springs, attending Edison Elementary, Horace Mann Junior High, and graduating from Wasson High School in 1970. Ron started building houses in his early teens helping his dad and brother. These building skills served him well as he built several houses for himself and other family members. Ron and his dad started A&R Glass in the early 80's where they picked up a contract from L&R Maintenance doing glass glazing at Fort Carson. Ron retired from the glass business in 1999. In early 2000, Ron continued with his love of building doing remodel work.Bronco's football, John Wayne movies, and elk hunting were pastimes enjoyed by Ron. In 1986 Ron became very active in square dancing. He was affectionately known by the square dance community as the "Caller Hauler", since his wife became a square dance caller in 1996. Ron drove Debbie all over the state of Colorado to call for square dances. Ron's smile was welcoming to many and he will be missed tremendously.In 2014 Ron and Debbie started fellowshipping with Church for All Nations in Colorado Springs. Ron flourished in his understanding and love for the Lord.John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life!"In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ron's memory may be made to:1) The Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation, 2550 Tenderfoot Hill Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80906.2) An organization that Ron loved to support is AIMS - a group that spreads God's word throughout the world: (www.aims.org), PO Box 38301, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80937.Services will be held at a later date.
