I cannot say enough about my my co-worker and friend. Jerry and I had some of the most intense conversations, from everything politics to our faith in the Lord. What made Jerry so special to me was even when we did not agree on something we agreed it was ok to disagree. I am going to miss screaming his name "JERRY" because that laugh of his changed my mood every time. The 8 years I had the pleasure of working and getting to know Jerry I will carry with me until we meet again. Jerry I will miss our dances in the lab and I had to share you great moves here. Remember the Lord makes not mistakes when he takes his children home. John 11:25 "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:" I love you my friend!!

I have known Jerry for around 40 years, probably my oldest friend in Colorado Springs. Our lives intersected in several ways; singing in choir, attending concerts, ushering, common friends, stories of trips to visit family and so on. It is such a shock and heartbreaking to think that he is gone from this earthly life. We shall sing together again someday.

Where do I start if you knew Jerry then you know that great smile, personally, friendly smile. Jerry loved his family his Church most of all his God. Remebered all the trips home to be with his family birthdays weddings and just to come home. But the biggest memory was his 70 th birthday he was so happy that family was coming to Colorado to be with him on his birthday. Of course one of his wishes was his family to go to Church. Jerry wanted to introduce his family and Jerry stood up and was so proud that Sunday. Well being a sister I could go on and on and on. I will truly miss the calls on Sunday mornings. So Jerry sing loud to the Lord.

Jerry had a passion for life, adventure, and travel. He will be forever remembered for his caring nature, handsome smile, contagious laugh, and amazing voice. Blessed were those who heard him sing O Holy Night at Christmas or who received a special serenade on their birthday. He brought smiles to many and leaves behind cherished memories with everyone who knew him. Uncle Jerry - you have a crew of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews who just adore you and always will. I love you so much! Haley

My favorite memory of my brother and I goes way back when we were sharing a bedroom. Gerald Ray is 10 years older than me. So, for me to get the upper hand I had to be resourceful. We were siblings and siblings do siblings things. One night I had in my mind I would pull a Three Stooges stunt. Right before we laid our heads down to rest I started throwing my arms all over the place claiming I could not see. Gerald Ray grabbed my shoulders, started shaking me, and asking what was wrong with me. In the mist of the shaking, I open my eyes, looked him straight into his eyes and said, "My eyes were closed". I can't say I remember much after that. I did live to tell this story. There is much I would love to share with you about my brother. However, I end with this. What a blessing to have had a brother like Gerald Ray. Love you Bro!

I met Jerry through my friend Eric. The first thing I noticed about Jerry was his unconditional love for Eric. Watching them work together in the kitchen, seeing the loving gazes Jerry would give as if Eric was the only person in the room brought a smile to my heart. Jerry was an amazing host. Even more, he wanted me to feel welcome because I was a friend to his Eric. I can't imagine the loss of a husband as compassionate as Jerry was towards Eric. I wish there was more time to get to know Jerry better. The world was definitely a better place with Jerry as a part of it.

Although we did not know Gerry real well, our time and our conversations we had with him were always very positive and very pleasant. When he and our nephew Eric came to visit us in Odessa, Florida we had the most awesome time with them. I can remember everywhere we went with Gerry, everyone we met loved his vibrant personality and kindness. We will always remember Gerry as just a a great man that loved life and exuded that to everyone around him. We miss you Jerry and you will always be in our hearts and prayers. Love you Gary & Rosie LeStrange

Enjoyed working in the same environment as Gerry. I know that he dedicated himself to his profession, an enjoyed it. But he had many different passions that he pursued to the fullest. Gerry certainly had a kind soul to others, an that quality will be missed.

My memories of my uncle Jerry are few and far between but I hold each one of them so dear to my heart. He was my favorite uncle and the only one I had a real relationship with. The most recent memory I have of him was when he came to Oregon to spend Thanksgiving with us a few years back. We walked on the beach, watched TV, played cards and just enjoyed one another. My son Jayden was his sidekick most of the trip. Jayden and him played so much rummy it would drive someone mad, but not my uncle. Jayden would ask for another go around and even though uncle jerry was tired of playing he still did. He was the best uncle/great uncle any person could ask for. I will forever love you uncle Jerry and jayden will continue to grow knowing who you are. Your spirit will live one forever. ❤

I have known Jerry since 1979 We spent many years together and have stayed in touch ever since. A wonderful man with wonderful siblings. I last spoke with him just a week ago. So many memories. He and Eric were out to visit us in CA a few years ago - our thoughts are with Eric at this difficult time. I know Jerry's singing in the big choir now. There are a lot of things I could say about my Uncle Jerry and stories I could tell all night long but one memory I will never forget are the trips to Ks on his way back to Co. He made every trip special and feel like better then the last. We sang , danced , (car dancing) tell jokes, and the stories of when he was younger. And I just want to say Thank You and I Love You

One day Jerry and I were in the car alone together, I was in eighth grade. He said he wanted to share a secret with me and before he could say anything, I said I already know. He said How does that make you feel? I said nothing, because you are my big brother and I will always love you. - Your sister Susan

When we returned to our previous home from Jersey several years ago, Jerry and Eric were welcoming and kind next-door neighbors and friends. We shared conversation, flowers, yard projects, and our dog Sundae. We were even treated to Jerry's singing voice over the holidays. We were surprised at his working full-time at his age and his dedication to veterans. Jerry had a heart of gold and obvious faith in God. We will truly miss him. Love sent from J, Susan and Sundae Giebel

Jerry, I love you so much, what a great uncle you are. I would just like to tell you that you made the world a better place, and the world would be such an even greater place with more people like you. I have never met someone with such a loving and positive attitude towards others, and towards life itself. Heaven is truly blessed because I know you will even make IT a better place. The memory of you singing "Oh Holy Night" in the New Palestine Church still touches my heart and sends chills down my spine like I was sitting there now. Heaven was blessed with a great addition, but it breaks my heart the world lost such a wonderful person.
