Obituary of SFC Richard T. Carter, U.S. Army,

Richard T. Carter, 86, died January 27, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.He was born November 11, 1934 to�Arthur and Naomi Carter in Warren, Ohio.Richard was a war veteran who served in the Marines and Army. He retired from the Army after twenty years of service. Richard was an avid hunter and fly fisherman. He enjoyed the outdoors, serving the community and church and spending time with family.Richard is preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Joyce Carter; his daughter, Jonica Brunner; his sisters, Betty Good and Rose Dow; brother, James Carter; and parents, Arthur and Naomi Carter.He is survived by his son, Aaron (Jeannette) Carter; daughter, Pamela (William) Guindon; eleven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.A Visitation will be held from 10:00AM-11:00AM, with a Funeral Service immediately following at 11:00AM, Friday, March 5, 2021, at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.The Funeral Service will be streamed live.
