Obituary of James Daniel Howe
James Daniel Howe, 59, died January 28, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born July 29, 1961 in Sacramento, California to Franklin Daniel and Ellouise May (Knauff) Howe.James was a 1980 graduate of Woodland Park High School. He was an Air Force Veteran and was a double amputee who never ever let any of that get him down. You could always find him sitting along the highway, selling his Redneck Honey. He lived life to the fullest, was associated with Beyond the Battlefield (a Non-Profit Organization dedicated to Our Wounded Veterans and First Responders) and had even skydived recently. His hair color turned white, he grew a beard and we told him this was his calling to be Santa and the Christian man he is said "okay". He volunteered as Santa for many years. James brought so much love and light into the life and to our children and our communities. He was truly a servant to our Lord. They're welcoming him up there with open arms! I'm just so sorry about the children of our community that will not understand that he is gone. I just hope you all tell them that he is in Heaven now. God has better plans for him now! God needed him! We need to celebrate the man, the legend that he was and is.He was very specialin the lives of many people.James is survived by his daughters, Nicole K. (Andrew) Doyle and Candace M. Kolberg, both of Colorado Springs; son, Dakota J. Howe of Colorado Springs; five grandchildren; sister, Laurie A. (David) Vervaecke of Fountain, Colorado; and brother, Daniel E.
