Obituary of PO1 Charles "Richard" Neumann, U.S. Navy,

Charles Richard "Rick" Neumann, 82, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away January 31, 2021.� He was born on April 30, 1938, to Paul and Marie Neumann in Buhl, Idaho.� Rick graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1956. He attended the University of Colorado where he met his beautiful wife Patricia who he lovingly referred to as Patty. They married in 1961.�Rick enlisted in the United States Navy where he spent a good portion of his twenty-three years stationed on the aircraft carrier USS Ranger.� He retired in 1977 aboard the USS Missouri.� After his military retirement, Rick and Patty returned to Colorado where he worked in the office equipment field for close to thirty years.� After his "second" retirement they made Colorado Springs their home.� Rick was involved with the VFW and Falcon Senior Services for quite some time which included volunteering as a driver to take members to various appointments and events.He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Marie Neumann; and sister, Karen Herbold.Rick is survived by his wife for just short of sixty years, Patricia; their three children,� Scott "Cody" Neumann, Jill Blaylock and Jodi (Stan) Mondragon; five wonderful grandchildren, Justin (Amanda) Neumann, Janelle Neumann, Jordan Medina, Braedon (Cameron) Mondragon and Bryce Mondragon; and three great-grandchildren,� Tyler, Claire and Natalie Neumann.A private Visitation will be held 10:30AM-12:30PM, Wednesday, February 10, 2021.
