Teri Vogan, 66, of Colorado Springs, CO passed away February 17, 2021 in Denver, CO.She was born March 3, 1954 in Denver, CO and adopted by Ed and LaVerne Megel of Colorado Springs. Teri graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School in 1972 and went on to earn her gemologist designation from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), a Bachelors and two Masters Degrees before settling into her lifelong career as a Master Jeweler. Teri began her career at Megel's Jewelry Store before she and her husband eventually opened their own jewelry business, Vogan Jewelry & Engraving in the Bon Shopping Center. Teri specialized in the repair and custom design of countless numbers of jewelry pieces from all over the country including the Radix pins for the U.S. Figure Skating Association that went around the world to champions and Olympians alike. While working as a jeweler, she made time to teach as an adjunct college professor and was proud to have conceived the Vogan Training Center for the Arts that focused on teaching new trades to wounded soldiers and those with disabilities. Teri was known for her infectious laugh, warm smile, and a fierce love of family; a feeling shared with everyone she knew and those who entered her shop. She was an active member of The Canyon Winds Band where she played first chair flute and loved riding motorcycles as a member of the Women on Wheels motorcycle club. Only several years ago Teri found her birth family, three of whom were at her side in the end, two brothers and a sister.
