Obituary of Carolyne "Kat" Smith

Carolyne "Kat" Smith, 69, died February 21, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.She was born June 23, 1951 in Colorado Springs to William and Lee Della (Eakles) Nance.Kat was a caring mother, daughter, sister, grand/great-grandmother who enjoyed creating amazing artwork and providing a loving home for her family.�During her life she supported her community through her good works as an Eastern Star and as an advocate for children. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lee Della Nance; her brother, David Lee Nance; and nephew, Robert D. Nance.Kat is survived by her four daughters, Sharon K. (Porsche) Miller, Jacqueline N. (Jessica) Nance, Terrie R. (Ginger Miles) Andrews, and Carriel T. (Jeff Adams, Jr.) Nance-Smith; four grandchildren, Sharolyne (Antron) Davis, D'Quenlyne (Tyrone) Harris, Anita Simon and Cleveland (Brii) Simon; nineteen great-grandchildren, Thiazia Zakkiya Simon (19), Ayauna Dez-Nachae Smith-McCullen (17), Tahjiar Sincere Javon Simon (14), Malaki Deontray Harris (13), Saniyah Amani Simon (12), Laqui ThaLynn Nance-Adams (12), King Javon Simon (11), Kamarii Javon Harris (10), Khozeh Adaiah Cranmer (10), Gen'Niyah Lanae Davis (10), Ny'Tavia Amiah Simon (9), Antarius Teon Davis (7), Sire Javon Simon (7) Jehrimii Lee Adams (6), Le'Azia Lynette Johnson (4), Nia Nachae Harris (4), Ky'Monie Jean Nance-Adams (3), Amor Teoni Davis (7 months), Journni Desiree Harris (6 weeks); and two sisters, Loreather Scott and Esther Nance.�A Celebration of Life,12:00PM, Saturday, June 26, 2021, James H.
