Obituary of Ian Reed Wilcox

Ian Reed Wilcox, 37, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away February 22, 2021 in Colorado Springs. He was born September 11, 1983 to David and Erin Wilcox in Quito, Ecuador. Ian went to elementary school at Dalat School in Penang, Malaysia and graduated from high school in 2002 from Colorado Springs Christian Schools. He attended Trinity Western University near Vancouver, Canada for three years, studying political science. Ian obtained his Electrician's License as a Journeyman Wireman and was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers - IBEW Local Union #113. Ian loved music and was a steadfast supporter of the local hip-hop and Spoken Word scenes. He enjoyed snowboarding, deep political conversations, and showing compassion to all he met. He is survived by his grandmother, Mary Reed; his father and mother, David and Erin Wilcox; his sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Levi Shepherd; his partner, April Bauer; his dog, Maverick; and countless other family and friends. A private Funeral Service will be held at 1:30PM, Monday, March 1, 2021. The service will be streamed live.
