Obituary of Robert Edward Owen

Robert Owen passed away on February 23, 2021 in Colorado Springs. He was born in Palo Pinto, Texas on November 17, 1934.Bob served in the U.S. Army at Camp Carson and Korea from 1957 to 1959. He then settled down in Colorado Springs.Bob led a full life of adventures. He drove a semi truck for fifty years and was awarded 5 million mile Safe Driving Awards. In his spare time, he played his guitar and sang with his buddies.Bob is survived by his wife, Nancy Owen; children, Debbie (Scott) Van Pelt, Doug Owen, Rhonda Owen, and Vicki Lofland; and his nephew, Kevin (Leisha) Wright. His legacy also includes twelve grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.Bob never met a truck he couldn't drive, a road he hadn't been on, or a song he couldn't play or sing.A private Visitation will be held from 2:00PM-4:00PM, on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.A private Funeral Service will be held at 12:00PM, Wednesday, March 3, 2021.Interment, Spring Valley Cemetery, 13944 South Spring Valley Road, Larkspur, Colorado 80118.
