Obituary of Carlton Lester Smith

Carlton Lester Smith, 85, died February 27, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.He was born July 24, 1935 in Woodland, Iowa to Carlton Theodore and Veta Evelyn (Baker) Smith.Carlton married Marna Jean Hall on September 4, 1955 in Van Wert, Iowa. They had two sons, Lester "Craig" and William "Gordon" Smith.He served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1964. In 1975, he started All Around Building Services, Inc., retiring in 2006.Carlton was a kind and loving father. He loved to travel and see new places. He also enjoyed boxing, pool and watching TV.He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Lester "Craig"; three sisters, Jean Smith, Helen Hamilton and Donna Webb; and his brother, Roger Smith.Carlton is survived by his widow, Marna; son, William "Gordon"; grandsons, Wil, Torrie and Dax Smith; and daughter-in-law, Penny Smith, all of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and other relatives and friends.Graveside Service, 10:00AM, Friday, March 5, 2021, Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
