Obituary of Nancy Louise Mills

Nancy L. Mills of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed on March 2, 2021 in her home with family by her side. She was born February 17, 1945 in Payson, Utah and grew up in Provo, Utah. In her school years, she excelled in academics and sports, especially in basketball.Nancy married Robert D. Mills in 1971 and moved to Tooele, Utah to raise their family before moving to Missouri, then Colorado. Nancy built a career in civil service where she worked as a contracting officer for the U.S. Army before retiring in 1996. She received many government awards and achievements for her service.She really enjoyed reading, movies and trips to Cripple Creek. Nancy was a wonderful lady, a special person, and a loving wife and mother. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Hugh Lonas and Beatrice (Killian) Lonas; and her son, Robert B. Mills. Surviving members of her family include her husband of fifty years, Robert D. Mills; two sons, Anthony H. (Bernice) Mills and Brandon D. (Lisa) Mills; one brother, Richard Lonas; and three grandchildren, Trevor D. Mills, Kenny Zelones and Stephanie Zelones.Nancy will be greatly missed by her family and many others. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all who have been part of her life. As Nancy wished, there will be no burial services.
