Obituary of Devin Michael Carney

Devin was a miracle from the day he graced us with his presence. Fireworks welcomed him into the world December 5, 1997 in Elko, Nevada. Fearless when it came to color and textures, Devin had his own style from a very young age. He loved collared shirts, ties, bow ties and anything that stood out.Devin not only listened to every genre of music, but had a fire in his soul for everything from country to house music and everything in-between. When younger, he secretly enjoyed whenever his likeness to Justin Bieber would be brought up and the attention he got from the girls because of it.Devin enjoyed hiking, gaming, skateboarding and making music. He started with editing clips of himself in games, then learned to add music and create his own graphics, which eventually led to Devin finding his real passion: making and producing his own music with his friends.�For a twenty-three year old, Devin had the compassion of a class-A caregiver. A kid who simply wanted to fix everything for everyone. He enjoyed traveling from the east coast to the west, and favored the memories of our trip to Mexico. To Devin, home was a river, a mountain or a beach, especially if mom could be nearby. He loved his family, friends and strangers alike, but more than anything or anyone, he loved his momma.He was a fighter who lived and loved against all odds. A medical mystery who baffled doctors for years and stunned them all by outliving their "estimations", and outgrowing allergies they said he'd have his entire life. He was full of light and love, living a lifestyle he wished he wasn't. "I'm stalked by demons and guarded by an angel", he'd tell his mom.�Far too soon. The time has come for Devin to join the angels that so meticulously watched over his life. He will forever be remembered, loved and missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him.He watches over his mom, brother, father, Odin (the family dog), his grandparents, his aunt, and many cousins and friends.Visitation, 1:00PM-3:00PM, Sunday, April 18, 2021, The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
