Obituary of Virginia Elaine Johnson
Virginia Elaine Tucker Johnson passed away at her home on April 20, 2021.Virginia's birthplace was Topeka, Kansas, August 16, 1950, where she lived until she left to attend Principia College in Elsah, Illinois.��After graduating from Principia, Virginia returned to Topeka to begin her lifelong career in Real Estate.At the time of her passing, she and her daughter, M. Blaine Johnson Riddlesperger of Colorado Springs, owned and operated the Southern Cross Laundry along with The Laundry Basket and Dog Wash.�Blaine is married to Brooks Riddlesperger.In addition, Virginia and Blaine were the Johnson & Johnson mother and daughter team as Real Estate agents at ERA Shields Real Estate.Virginia married Carl Frederick Johnson in 1977 and subsequently moved to Alaska. Carl worked for Arco Oil on the North Slope, and Virginia continued her real estate career.�They came to Colorado Springs in 1994 where they owned and operated All-State Horse Express until 2008.�Carl passed in 2013.Virginia was an active member of First Church of Christ, Scientist in Colorado Springs.In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to First Church of Christ, Scientist in Colorado Springs (christiansciencecoloradosprings.org).There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
