Obituary of Stanley Hubbell Everett
Stanley Hubbell Everett, 82, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Stan was born in Colorado Springs on June 22, 1938 to George Finlayson and Maude C. (Hubbell) Everett. As a young man he was an avid hunter, fisherman, horseback rider and enjoyed playing ice hockey. He graduated from Colorado Springs High School and then attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Stan served in the United States Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. After his military service, he made a career in the electrical supply and distribution and worked as a subcontractor for military installations.Stan was a proud member of the Navajo Nation. He was also longtime member of the Freemasons and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was everyone's friend, amigo, and buddy, Stan never knew a stranger. He had a generous nature and was known for his love of family and friends. His infectious smile will be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Maude Everett; and his sister, Helen Justice. Stanley is survived by his son, Karl (Veronica) Everett; daughters, Karon (Jim) McCormick, Karol Scott, and Julie (Dave) Edmunds; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and his sister, Jeri (Bob) Hay.Celebration of Life, 2:00PM, Saturday, May 22, 2021, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3260, 1830 North Academy Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
