Obituary of Sarah "Sally" Elizabeth Frisby
Sarah "Sally" Elizabeth Frisby, 73, died May 7, 2021 in Aurora, Colorado. She was born September 10, 1947 to Everett Frederick and Mabel Reece (Beale) Frisby in Henrico County, Virginia.Sally was a teacher and taught kindergarten, although she never had any children of her own, she loved kids. She enjoyed traveling around the United States, reading, going for walks, and playing with her cats. She adored her kittens. Sally also loved music, and going to concerts. James Taylor was in her top 5, but her favorite artist of all time was Bob Dylan. She learned how to play the guitar in her early 60's so she could play many of the Bob Dylan songs that she so loved. In addition to music, Sally was an avid Jeopardy fan, and from her couch she could answer 99% of all the Jeopardy questions. She never missed a one. She was one of the brightest people I had ever met. In all of her worldly travels, the place she always felt most at home was Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. For fifteen years she had a standing reservation at a hotel for a two-week stay every October, where she walked the beach, fed the birds, and enjoyed the sunshine and the ocean. She was a great friend to anyone who ever needed anything, she would be there ready to help fight your battle.Sally was a breast cancer survivor, and was a courageous fighter during that time in her life. She was so grateful to all of her work family at Peoples Mortgage, where she worked for ten years as amortgage closer. She always said she would not have made it through that time without their love and support. She is survived by her husband, Jon Jay Miank; and her friend, Gaye Rogers.
