How do you put 75 years of knowing someone into a small paragraph. I known Sis almost my entire life. She and my sister, Betty Collins Boudreau, were best friends and they sang in a quartet when they lived in Wichita Falls, Texas. When we moved to Colorado in 1973, Sis and Tony were living here. We renewed our friendship and shared many things together. She was my mentor, my friend, my Sis.

I just opened a Family Tree memory book & the first letter is from Mary B. She spoke of embarking on a whole new adventure in her life in July 1984, our golf tournaments & celebrity roasts and best of all that as long as she could put one foot in front of the other, I'd have a volunteer waiting to help me. Mary B was absolutely the BEST volunteer and friend I could have ever asked for! Points for People worked in a very large part because of her! Rest In Peace my friend!

Heaven just got a little bit of spunk! I met Mary playing golf and Cards in the early 80s. It wasn't long after that she got myself and many of our friends involved in Family Tree! What fun we had doing "what felt good"! And on top of that, we had Tony in our lives. I had Mary's back and she had mine! All is right with the world! Miss you, Mar!

My middle name is Mary after my grandma, my Nana, Mary Billingslea. On May 11th, she passed away. No matter how prepared you think you are for someone's passing you just aren't ready. It is times like these that living an ocean away is extra hard. She has been saying for several years now how she just wants to be with Tony (my grandpa) again. I'm sure that was a beautiful reunion. On May 11th my Nana went to be with Jesus and her Tony (my grandpa). This is something she talked about a lot in the end. ♥️ She was more than ready to see him again. . She had such a fire & spunk to her that I always admired. No one was going to tell what to do our how to do it. She loved her family fiercely and this is one of the things I learned the most from her. Cherish the ones the Lord has given to you as family... He did it for a reason. . I know she's probably gathered around a piano with her sister Betty or playing golf with her Tony, eagerly awaiting the rest of us to get there.

Aunt Sis was a professional singer. She and Aunt Betty were an entertaining duo . She was the leader of the Davenport Cousins Choir. She kept us in union and on key. She was also a comedian. After eating the Thanksgiving Day meal at the Crowe's house, she was waiting patiently to go to the hotel . Mary was such a wonderful lady. I would go over there and clean her house, I would address her Mrs Billingslea. She said " oh my goodness dear call me Mary" I love spending time with her. Her and Tony would always go to Burger King while I clean her house. Then they'd come back and We would sit and talk. She would tell me a story is about when her and Tony met. Talk to me about her childhood and more. I miss her and miss her stories. I'm glad she is with Jesus and with her Tony once again. She will be deeply missed!! Rest in paradise Mary!!! Aunt Sis and I were the babies of the family. She had 4 older sisters and I have 3. So we could relate :) Aunt Sis was another mother to me. And she was always the Davenport choir director. I still know every word to "All Night All Day". She taught the nieces and nephews that song and now I have another angel watching over me. She and I shared so much and there were times in my life that I couldn't have continued on my journey without her advice and knowing she was there for me. I first met Mary B. aka my Den Mom after she called into Peter Boyles show on KOA when I was sharing the concept of what became Points for People to benefit Family Tree's programs. Mary became our first volunteer and also took on helping me with my fan mail. Her and Tony aka The Old Codger were like extensions to my parents here in Colorado. I called Mary, "Mom", because she really was like a mother hen to many of us. Above all else, she was a lady. Never once did I hear a swear word uttered, even if a disaster struck that sent the rest of us working with her into a frenzied correction mode. She never lost her soft drawl and always retained the slower, unhurried cadence of a true Southerner. She loved Tony beyond measure and it showed. Those of us who knew her will always remember her with a smile.
