Obituary of Robbie Jo Burnett

Robbie Jo Burnett of Colorado Springs, Colorado, formerly of Greenville, Texas, passed away on May 19, 2021.She was born on April 19, 1933 to John Denton and Estus Lee (Campbell) Denton in Donelton, Texas.Robbie Jo is survived by her daughters, Andrea Hopkins Norton of Arlington, Texas, Donna Stapleton (Henry) Perez of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Denise Stapleton (Forrest) Clearman of Sherman, Texas; grandchildren, Jason (Allie) Waldie, Mike (Lori) Stapleton, Michelle Stapleton, Adam (Briton) Cunningham, Aaron (Jacqueline) Henry and Michaela Henry; and eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene Burnett; her son, David Stapleton; her siblings, Faye Hendrix, Otis Denton, Mary Lou Davis and Don Ray Denton; the father of her children, Wade Mack Stapleton.Robbie Jo was a lifetime member and past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion in both Greenville, Texas and Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was also a past President of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW 101 of Colorado Springs, as well as a volunteer for the Stand Down of the VFW in Colorado Springs.A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
