Obituary of SFC Bruce V. Kelp, U.S. Army,

Bruce Kelp of Colorado Springs, Colorado went home to be with the Lord on May 22, 2021 at the age of 78 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.He was born August 7, 1942 to Bruce Henry and Elsie Mae Kelp in Spokane, Washington.He retired from the United States Army after twenty-four years of service.It was during his tour of duty in Vietnam that he met his future wife. On April 17, 1973, he married Dao (Nguyen) Kelp.He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed his family, being in the woods, hunting, fishing, building things and his guns.He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Fred Kelp, Dan Kelp and Dave Kelp.Bruce is survived by his wife, Dao Bich Kelp; daughters, Tammy T. (Bradley) Archuleta and Thuy T. (Julie Cunning) Kelp; sons, Skipper T. (Laurie) Kelp and Laumont Gadlin; granddaughters, Alyscia (Christopher) Barrow, Aliyah Archuleta, Kierra Kelp and Joselyn Gadlin; grandsons, Mark Kelp, Ryan Kelp and Keyon Kelp; great-granddaughter, Briyahna Barrow; great-grandsons, Josiah Barrow, Gio Kelp and Kieron Kelp; sisters, Janie Robirts, Judy Webster and Cindy Nguyen; and brothers, Randy Kelp and Lonny Kelp.Funeral Service, 11:00AM, Thursday, June 10, 2021, The Springs Funeral Services-North, 6575 Oakwood Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80923.Graveside Service, 1:00PM, Thursday, June 10, 2021, Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80925.The Funeral Service and Graveside Service will be streamed live.
