Obituary of Joseph Ray Mattson

Joseph R. Mattson, 82, passed away May 23, 2021. Joe was a native of Colorado who loved the outdoors, riding his motorcycle, and woodworking. He attended Centennial High School in Pueblo until he transferred to, and graduated from, South High School in Denver. He worked in construction for most of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Genevieve; and two half brothers, George and Rob. Joe is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Martha; three children, Brian, Brad, and Brenda; and five grandchildren. He was a loving husband, amazing father, doting grandfather, and will be greatly missed.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joe's memory can be made to Pikes Peak Church of Christ, 1402 West Pikes Peak Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904.
