Obituary of Thomas "Jack" Lewis Watson

Thomas Lewis Watson, aka "Daddy Jack", 68, died on May 24, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado in the presence of family and friends following a long battle with cancer. He was born on August 5, 1952 to Thomas Jefferson Watson and Mable Clarabelle (Bunch) Watson in Newport News, Virginia. Thomas was a jack of all trades but specialized in Commercial and Residential House Painting. His favorite NFL team was the Washington Redskins and his favorite NBA team was the LA Lakers. However, he was known to root for and bet on whatever team that happened to be winning at the time. He was a smart dresser who always dressed to impress regardless of whether it was for holidays, birthdays, or even a doctor's appointment. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Earl Watson, Ernest Watson and Larry Watson; as well as his nephew and "bodyguard", Angelo Watson.He is survived by three brothers, Thomas Watson, James Watson, and Jerry Watson; and one sister, Cynthia "Cookie" Watson Rouse; multiple nieces and nephews, including Damian Perkins, Jamahl Watson, Jordan Salazar, Julian Salazar-Gilks, Dorlando Salazar-Gilks, Rashad Watson-Leedom, Tia Watson Hunter, Princess Salazar-Gilks, Marti Watson Smith, Latoya Watson Davis, and Comet Watson Nelson. Other surviving relatives include a multitude of great nieces and nephews as well as so many more relatives too numerous to name. He was loved by so many friends they are impossible to count but of significance was his long term loving relationship with Nancy Estrada. For the last five years he has also been loved and cared for by his live-in Caregiver Trish Zellner, RN.
