Obituary of Norman Wayne Woolman
Norman Wayne Woolman, 89 a resident of Colorado Springs since 1964, passed away on May 24, 2021. Born on September 2, 1931 in Denver, Colorado to William and Thelma Woolman, Norman graduated from North High School in 1949, St. John's College with an Associate Degree in 1951 and attended Concordia Seminary and University of Colorado. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Norman was a drafting manager at Colorado Interstate Gas Company. He sang many leading baritone roles at First Presbyterian Church, Colorado Springs Opera Association and Figaro's Restaurant. Norman married Judy Woolman on January 5, 1958. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Thelma Woolman. Norman is survived by his wife, Judy Woolman; daughters, Lila Woolman and Lee Ann (Eric) Goldinak; granddaughter, Rebekah Crampton; and sister, Elaine (Jim) Foerster.Norman was a deacon, elder and Stephen Minister at First Presbyterian Church and a member at First Lutheran Church before joining First United Methodist Church.Memorial service, 11:00AM, Thursday, September 2, 2021, First United Methodist Chapel, 420 North Nevada Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
