Obituary of Gloria Jean Robison

Gloria Jean Robison, was called home to the Lord on May 29, 2021 at the age of 76 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born in Emporia, Kansas, and moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico at the early age of two. In her 20's Gloria made Colorado Springs her forever home.��Born on St. Patrick's Day in 1945, Gloria loved to dress for the occasion. She was a funny, caring, compassionate woman (old broad as she often referred to herself as) who enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, cooking, bartending, and chatting with customers. Gloria was owner of Duffy's Tavern and spent many years in the bartending industry.� She recently retired in 2020.� Saying she touched the heart of each person she crossed paths with is an understatement. Gloria managed the High Flight dart league with her partner Bill Ellis back in the day as she was an avid dart player herself. She loved the game and the community it brought her to.�Gloria loved life, when she wasn't smiling and laughing, hanging around with her new love Bill McNaul while at the same time trying to master the skill of golf, you could find her being excited in being ornery to others.�Aside from her love of the community she had a soft spot for animals, in particular the love of cats.�Gloria also had a real sweet tooth for cake, ice cream, candy, with chocolate being her favorite. She also had a real passion for the taste of sweet buttery corn on the cob and a fresh slice of sweet tasting watermelon.Gloria raised two sons, David and Edward.�She was preceded in death by her son, Edward Robison; Ex-husband, Bert Robison; her brother, James "Jimmy" Angus; brothers-in-law, Joe Cook and Sam Bass; sister-in-law, Irene Angus; and nephew, Eric Angus.She was survived by her son, David Robison; her two sisters, Linda Cook and Ila Marie Bass; and brothers, Charlie Ivan Angus with wife Jeanette, Melvin "Mel" Angus, and Dwight with wife Pam Angus;�nieces and nephews, Rose Renee, Stephanie, Charlene Angus, Melanie Angus, Don and Roger Cook, Sandy, Bryan and Tina Angus, Andrea, David, Evin, Gina, Tony, Christina, Tara, Danny and Hannah Angus.��Memorial Service, 11:30AM, Sunday, June 13, 2021, The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.The memorial service will be streamed live, the link to watch the service is located in the events below.
