Obituary of Margie Ann Poe

Margie Ann Poe, 75, passed away June 4, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.She was born July 26, 1945 in Colorado City, Texas to Homer and Delphine Geneva (Bedrick) Barnett.Margie was proud to be a Texan, specifically an Odessa Texan. She was married July 5, 1961 to Floy Ausbon Poe. They would have been celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this year.She attended Odessa High School in Odessa, Texas and was part of the 1963 graduating class. She went on to work for several years at Sears, Roebuck and Co. where she made multiple lifelong friends and had fond memories of her time there. Margie then worked as a secretary with her brother, Ronnie Barnett, in their family business at Barnett Sand & Gravel that was started by her father, Homer Barnett, around 1947. She retired in 2019 and moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado to be nearby her son, Christopher Poe.She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Delphine Barnett; and brothers, Homer Barnett, Jr. and Haskell Barnett.Margie is survived by her husband, Floy Poe; son, Christopher (Meghann) Poe; brother, Ronnie (Micki) Barnett; sister, Betty Grissom; and two grand-pups, Millie and Nibblett.Memorial Service, 10:00AM, Saturday, June 26, 2021, Northside Baptist Church, 100 West 50th Street, Odessa, Texas 79764.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
