Obituary of Val Allen Easton

Val Allen�Easton�passed away on June 6, 2021, his family at his bedside. He was born November 11, 1937 to his parents, Thomas and Ruby�Easton,�in Pueblo, Colorado. On July 6, 1958 he married the love of his life, Ruth Jacqueline "Jackie" Rogers. They spent nearly sixty years together until her passing in 2017.�Val spent two years in the Army, stationed in Missouri. After his service he spent many years working in the retail business, retiring from Safeway as a manager after twenty-two years.After Val retired he spent his time tending to his beloved garden, playing the piano, and enjoying time with his family.�He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jackie; son Michael J.�Easton; his brother, Robert "Bob" and his wife, Anna Jean; and his sister, Nelda and her husband, Bill Janney. Val leaves behind his daughter, Rae; daughter-in-law, Darlene; grandson, Daniel and his wife, Kimberly; granddaughter, Michelle; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Michael, and Harvard; his brother Bill and his wife, Orabelle; and his sister, Gail Rhodes and her husband, Otto; along with many nieces and nephews.Visitation, 1:00PM, Funeral Service immediately following, 1:30PM, Friday, June 18, 2021, Redeemer Lutheran Church, North Corona Street, 2221 North Wahsatch Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80907.Interment, Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
