Obituary of Marilyn Lorraine Kessler
Marilyn L. Kessler of Falcon, Colorado passed away on June 9, 2021 in her home after an eight-year battle with cancer. She was born on September 15, 1954 to Albert and Melanie Robinson in Trinidad, Colorado. She was raised in Trinidad and graduated from Primero High School in 1972 as salutatorian. She also served as homecoming queen. She went on to earn her secretarial certification in Denver from Barns Business School before moving to Colorado Springs to work for El Paso Community College (a.k.a. Pikes Peak Community College). After her time at the college, she moved back to Trinidad to work as a secretary for a law firm for several years before taking a job with United Bank in Colorado Springs, which later became Norwest and then Wells Fargo. She continued to advance in her banking career for the next thirty-five years. Marilyn was known for her positive attitude and encouragement to others. She was an exceptional mother to her children and even friends of her children often referred to her as their own mother because of her love and devotion to everyone she met. She was compassionate, helpful, and never forgot a birthday.Marilyn loved spending time with and spoiling her nine grandchildren, traveling with family and friends, camping, swimming, and painting with watercolor pencils and acrylics. She enjoyed her flower arrangements and watching the birds in her yard and all of her beloved pets, which she often spoke of long after they were gone. She will be remembered for her encouragement and kind words. Marilyn is preceded in death by her father and mother, Albert and Melanie (Nowack) Robinson; mother-in-law, Ellen Kessler; brother, Jeff Robinson; sister-in-law, Debbie Robinson (Steve); and nephew, Eric Robinson.
