Obituary of Lucille M. Petty

Lucille M. Petty, 80, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away June 15, 2021 in Colorado Springs. She was born April 19, 1941 to Helen E. (Winterowd) Cook and Merle T. Cook in Limon, Colorado.Lucille graduated from Fountain/Fort Carson High School and graduated in 1959. She went on to earn a certificate from a beautician school. Lucille spent majority of her life in Colorado as a homemaker due to Bobby's military commitments. She also moved to Sacramento, California, Anchorage, Alaska, Ogden, Utah and West Germany twice. Lucille loved to travel across the United States, especially to the southwest region.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby Petty; sister, LeVerna Hodson; and brother, Lloyd Cook. Lucille is survived by her sons, William Petty (spouse, Michelle Petty) and Mark Petty, both of Colorado Springs; sisters, Louise Beasley of Limon, Colorado and Leona Banta; granddaughter, Paige Nelson (spouse, Lucas Nelson) of Grand Forks, North Dakota; grandson, Derek Petty (spouse, Shanea Petty) of Grand Forks, North Dakota; and great-grandson, Eli Petty of Cheyenne, Wyoming.Graveside Service, 11:00AM, Wednesday, June 23, 2021, Fairview Cemetery, 1000 South 26th Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904.The family wishes to extend their gratitude to The Springs Funeral Services for their assistance throughout this process.
