Obituary of David Scott Meek

David S. Meek, 58, passed away June 18, 2021 at Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.Dave was born February 9, 1963 to William and Beverly Meek at Penrose Hospital. He was a true native, raised in Colorado, and proud to call the mountains his home.He attended Thomas B. Doherty High School and went on to play football for the University of Southern Colorado. He was a talented musician and athlete, playing multiple instruments and sports. Dave also had an incredible sense of humor which brought joy to all who knew him.Dave worked as a CDL driver for most of his life. He took pride in his work and his customers loved him.Dave was a caring, family man who will be missed immeasurably. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly L. Meek. Dave is survived by his father, William L. Meek; son, John W. Meek; siblings, Mark L. Meek, and Ann C. Van Wey; nephew, Joshua D. Van Wey; first wife, Trish Meek; second wife, Lisa Geer; aunt, Jean Anderson; uncle, Jack Meek and wife Pat; and cousins, Kim, Paula, and Danielle.A Celebration of Life ceremony will take place at a later date.
