Obituary of Kenneth Vernon Dull

Kenneth V. Dull of Security, Colorado, departed from this life to his home in Heaven July 1, 2021, after a brief illness. Ken was the firstborn son of Vernon and Audrey Dull. He attended Meeker public schools, graduating in 1957. From 1961-1964 he served in the United States Marine Corps. The training he received in the military prepared him for a forty-five year career in militarized electronic�systems. He began working on high-speed tape recorders that soon eventuated into complex computer systems. Ken took on the new challenges without hesitation and became adept in his troubleshooting skills in the new technology. He retired in 2010, on his 70th birthday�after forty-five years of service to his company(s) and Country.Ken trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior when he was 8 years old. From then on, he was an active member of a church wherever he lived, loving the Word of God and God's people. He was nicknamed "the Bible man" because he always had a Bible in his pocket and a verse to share�when asked his thoughts on the issues of life. Ken was a loyal, conscientious, patient, faithful, gentle man. People have always responded to his kind, friendly eyes and warm smile.�Ken and Joyce moved to the Colorado�Springs area in 2017 where Ken acquired a new hobby of power walking. He was well known and liked on the�trails of Fountain Creek Regional Park where he�smiled as he�hurried by to�reach his�daily goal.Ken is preceded in death by his mother, Audrey Dull; his father, Vernon Dull; his brother, Myron Dull; and his son, K. Michael Dull. He is survived by his beloved wife of forty-eight years, Joyce Dull; his sister, Myrna J. Rauch of Lewistown, Montana; his granddaughter, LieAnna Watkins; great-granddaughter, Kalila Watkins; and nephews and nieces in California, Colorado, Montana, and Wisconsin.Memorial Service, 10:30AM, Wednesday, July 21, 2021, High Country Baptist Church, 865 Westmoreland Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80907.
