Obituary of Robert Lee Garlets

Robert "Bob" Garlets was a Colorado Springs legend in the music community. Bob was a kind and caring man who gave anything for his family. He always put his family first no matter what, even if it meant waking up at 4 a.m. to start cooking his famous green chili and fideos for family gatherings.�Bob passed away on July 14, 2021 at the age of 68. He was Born on September 27, 1952 to Charles and Stella Garlets in Hastings, Nebraska.Throughout Bob's early years, he played music in multiple bands across the country, along with being a chef in Colorado and Reno, Nevada. In 1992, he married Karen Garlets and on July 1, 1992, she blessed him with his pride and joy, their son, Robert "Bobby" Everett Garlets. Bob raised Bobby to be a wonderful musician, as well; together they played music throughout Colorado forming two bands: The Jinx Band and Three of a Kind. In Bob's last years, he met his companion Dorothy Clark who he cared for deeply. �����Bob is survived by his son, Bobby (Shannon Cutter-Sacry) Garlets; sister, Judy (Fred Popovitch) Garlets; brother, Rick Garlets; companion, Dorothy Clark; and former spouse, Karen Garlets.
