Obituary of Samuel Francis Patane
A resident of Colorado Springs for forty-five years, Sam was born and raised in Canastota, New York. A caring father of three children, Suze (Patrick) Bragg, Greg Patane, and Renee Rogers, he is also survived by one grandson; two granddaughters; one great-grandson; his sister, Sheila Stirling; and his mother, Carmella Patane. Sam is preceded in death by his father, Francisco Patane; and his brother-in-law, Donald Stirling. Sam was a loyal friend to so many others throughout his life. He enlisted in New York to serve in the United States Army during Vietnam from 1970 - 1973. During this time he was stationed in Colorado and discharged in Fort Carson, Colorado. Sam also earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. He was an accomplished automobile body and paint specialist. He owned his own related businesses for many of these years in addition to time spent working for established dealerships. Same had a deep appreciation for music, classic cars, and motorcycles. His photographic memory allowed for recall of details that amazed those around him. He engaged all with his quick wit and compassionate nature. He is deeply and dearly missed.
