Obituary of Alisa Dawn Lindsay
Alisa Dawn Lindsay, age 28, died unexpectedly at home with her mother in Colorado Springs after a short illness. Alisa in Hebrew means "Great Happiness" and that is what she brought to everyone she met. She had such a zest for life and she wanted to spread that joy, happiness and love to everyone. Alisa was always up for adventures. She enjoyed golf, paddleboarding, hiking, snowshoeing, paragliding, skydiving and was always looking for the next adventure. She also loved plants and had a large collection of succulents and was on the hunt for a string of pearls. She loved her dog Hyndrix and he was always glued to her side. From a young age Alisa would play golf with her dad, Bradley Lindsay. At the age of 10 she was finally able to play the 9 hole tournaments with Pikes Peak Junior Golf and continued playing with PPJG through high school. The first time she beat her dad at a round of golf she was 14 years old and he was so proud!! Alisa won the Junior Club Championship at Patty Jewett GC two times against the boys. Her senior year of high school she was awarded the Pikes Peak Junior Golf Scholarship. Alisa was a 2011 graduate of Rampart High School where she played golf all four years and was not only the League Individual Champion she helped lead the team to the Team Championship also. She played golf for Colorado Mesa University her freshman year of college and they went to the National Championship in Kentucky. She always told her dad she was going to take him back to Kentucky so they could play a round of golf there. After her sophomore year of college she transferred home to UCCS and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. She was a semester away from earning her Masters degree. Alisa wanted to be a counselor so she could help people. Her grandpa Wilkinson always told her waiting tables at Overtime was the best experience she could receive for being a counselor. With her mom, Kimberly Lindsay they would paddleboard, go for hikes, snowshoe, paraglide or whatever else came up. Girl time with her mom always centered around food or the latest trash TV show. Alisa loved her baby brother, Carl Lindsay, like no other. They were very tight and talked all the time. For their high school/college graduations they went skydiving together. It was so exciting for both of them to share such an amazing experience together. Alisa loved to spoil her cousins, Heather and Tiffany's children that lived in town, Hayden, Bentley, Cheyenne, Dixie, Kristi, Reed, Weston, and Hailey and was looking forward to meeting Jasper. Her cousin, Douglas has four children, Riley Jo, MacKenzie, William, and Rose.Alisa was preceded in death by her cousins, Derrika Hickman, Jonah Hill-Gissentanner, and Katie Ann Lindsay.
