Kevin Najera passed away from Congestive Heart Failure. He had a Left Bundle Branch Block in his heart which caused a blood clot. He had his first heart attack on August 7th of 2020. He started having breathing complications in January of 2021 and was hospitalized several times and released with no diagnosis until April of 2021. He was informed that his heart was at only 8% and that he had just six months left of his life. He was transported to Aspen Living Center on May 1st of 2021 and was put on Hospice Care. Around the second week of June of 2021 He signed himself out of Aspen Living Center and spent the remainder of his days back in and out of the hospital. Around August 2nd of 2021 an Ultrasound revealed Cirrhosis Of The Liver and on August 6th of 2021 was his last ambulance ride to the ER at Penrose Hospital where he was admitted for the last time and on August 7th he was moved to his room #606 in the Pike's Peak Hospice Unit of Penrose St Francis Hospital. He passed away at 10:17 a.m. on August 11 of 2021. His final services were done at The Springs Funeral Home and they are holding his ashes until August 11th of 2022 then will bury them if his Next Of Kin still cannot be located. I was with Kevin for the last six years of his life but I'm not legally considered Next Of Kin and could not obtain his remains. I didn't get to say goodbye and his last words I heard him say was, "Tell her I'll call her back..." as they were moving him to his Hospice Unit Room. He never had the chance to call, he was unconscious that quickly.
