Obituary of Lynda LaRuth Johnson

Lynda LaRuth Johnson, 80, passed away after a short illness on August 16th, 2021. She was born on March 16, 1941 in Brownsville, Texas to Mart and Margaret Willingham.Lynda moved with her family at 12 years old to Manitou Springs, Colorado. In 1964, starting with a blind date to the Little Britches Rodeo, Lynda married Buddy Johnson and they began their married life and family in Rush, Colorado. They had three girls: De'jon, Erin, and Felecia. Lynda was a member of community churches, the Neighborly Circle Club, and in her later years enjoyed her Friday morning coffee with "The Coffee Girls" most recently at the Ellicott Fire Department. Lynda was an excellent cook and worked at the Rush Cafe and in cafes in Ellicott for many years. She was an avid reader and has quite a collection of books and novels - she always had a book or two with her.�Lynda was very frank and also loved to talk about her faith and the comfort it brought.She also loved her family beyond measure and enjoyed the many get-togethers and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and succeed.Lynda is survived by her husband, James "Buddy" Johnson; her daughters, De'jon (David) Sanger, Erin (Kent) Reeve, and Felecia (Jason) Ozant.
