Obituary of Christa Margarete Neiger

Christa Margarete Neiger, 82, passed away August 19, 2021 in Buda, Texas.Christa was born June 30, 1939 in Frankfurt, Germany to parents, Johannes Welz and Elizabeth (Knoess) Welz. Christa met and married a US Military man, and eventually the military career brought them to the United States. After being stationed in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1967, they determined they loved the area and decided to settle to raise their children and make it their home. Christa worked various jobs but was most proud of being wife to Jesse, and mother to Thomas, Patricia (Steve) Etheridge, Michael, and John (Tracy) Neiger. Christa was an amazing wife and an incredible mother. Christa was overjoyed when she became an Oma to grandchildren, Jonathan Ethridge, Jennifer Etheridge, Cidney (Madison) Harrison, Jax Neiger, and great-granddaughter, Presley. Christa was most proud of her children and grandchildren, and they will be forever grateful for her. There is nothing Christa would not do for her family. She loved them deeply and she is deeply loved and missed by them.Christa was raised in Germany and had a deep love for her native country. She shared many amazing stories of Germany, shared her culture with her family, and took them there as visits allowed. Christa considered Colorado her home, and enjoyed visiting Texas, eventually moving there, making it her last home. She was a woman of grace and took great pride in everything she did.
