Obituary of MSG Ronald Allen Spencer, US Army,
MSG Ronald Allen Spencer, US Army, (Ret.), 76, died August 19, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.He was born March 24, 1945 in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania to Meade and Gladys (Lunger) Spencer.Ronald proudly served in the United States Army for twenty-seven years, he spent most of his career at Fort Carson and served two tours in Vietnam. He was awarded with numerous military awards and medals, and retired from the Army as a Master Sergeant. Ronald also worked with the United States Postal Service for twenty-two years as an electrician.He met his wife, Choon, while stationed in North Carolina, where they later married in South Carolina in 1972, four years later they moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado.Ronald was a kind person who always seemed to get along with everyone. He never hesitated to help his neighbors, friends, or family. He liked to "tinker" with things, particularly electronics and computers, and there wasn't anything he couldn't fix. Ronald never met a food that he didn't like and had very corny "dad jokes" that he would tell everybody.He is survived by his wife, Choon Spencer; son, Danny Spencer (Jill Quigley); and Daniel Giles (Maria Avila), whom Ronald raised as his own son.Graveside Service, 9:00AM, Monday, September 6, 2021, Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80925.
