Obituary of Cynthia Helena Larsen
Cynthia Helena Larsen was born April 4, 1935 in Newton-le-Willows, England to Leslie and Florence (Thompson) Mildown. She died August 19, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.Cynthia went to school to become a Librarian while still in England and worked in public libraries in several states once she moved to the United States. She also spent some time working for Quest Diagnostics in California.Whenever she got the opportunity, Cynthia would go to the beach to enjoy the ocean. It was one of her favorite places to be. She also developed several good friendships while being involved with a small group in California at the West Valley Christian Church.In her free time Cynthia could be found on the dance floor. She loved to dance country western line dancing and ballroom especially. There was a time that she even taught ballroom dancing.Sharing her English roots was also something she enjoyed. Often she would bake scones and desserts and loved her English tea, making sure she always had her afternoon tea time. Cynthia was an avid knitter and truly loved cats and dogs.She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Todd Peake; and brother, Leslie Mildown.Cynthia is survived by her sons, Steven (Jayne) Peake and David (Margaret) Peake; grandchildren, Christopher (Isabella) Kriegshauser, Anthony Peake, Jasmine Peake, Lucas Peake and James Peake; great grandchildren, Logan and Lucas Kriegshauser; and former spouse and good friend, David Peake.
