He taught, coached, and inspired thousands of students all over the world and is remembered as a caring and gifted educator by all who worked with him or sat in his classroom. He was a 1960's music trivia buff and knew the words, groups, and stories of numerous musicians and songs. His other hobbies surrounded skiing and mountaineering; hiking and climbing fourteen-ers, especially with close friends, was a favorite pastime. He is preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Frisinger. Ron is survived by his wife, Dotti Frisinger; daughters, Katja Frisinger (Sam Strickland) and Kyla Frisinger; father, Carl Frisinger; siblings, Russ (Jere) Frisinger and Susan (John) Robinson. He will be remembered for his positive outlook, his can-do attitude, and his incredible sense of humor, all of which he kept right until his final days. We were so lucky that he was able to leave us with this final benediction: Don't cry for me because I am gone. Everyone dies sometime. I had a good slice of life. Although I took a few years to get myself together, I really can say that I lived a full life. Rejoice with me that I can say that. I climbed and skied high mountains all over the world. I touched the bottom of seas. I had experiences in faraway places. I became well educated. I played music. I raised a family and did my best to be the father and husband I should be. I was more of a producer than a consumer, spending most of my adult life as a teacher who tried daily to be more than just an educator to my children. I know there will be some sorrow for our separation, but please, no sorrow for my life ending. I can leave knowing that I did not waste my time. Knowing that my life was fully lived. Thank you to all who participated in my life. You made it that much better. Now rejoice with me that I have lived a good life. To celebrate my life: Whenever possible, get up early in the morning and go some place to watch the sunrise with mountains. Take a brisk walk. When you see the sunrise remember how much I loved to get up early to walk and watch the sunrise. After that go, live the rest of the day so that when night-time comes you can say, "Yes, I did it right and I have no regrets!!"In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship fund for James Irwin Charter High School students to attend a special summer camp held in the mountains every summer. The easiest way to make a contribution is to bring a check to the service. If you prefer to donate cash, please put it in a self-addressed envelope and the school will send you a receipt.
