Obituary of Loyal Jerome Tripp
Mr. Loyal "Jerome" Tripp passed away at home surrounded by family August 25, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado after a long illness. He was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on January 10, 1938 to Percy and Anna Belle Tripp. Uncle Jerome would always say how he loved when he was a kid how his family and him would gather around the radio every night and listen to it. I think that is why he was such a great story teller, listener, and joke teller. He loved to tell the story about how he met Aunt Margaret on Valentine's Day and married her May 20, 1961 the same year. Uncle Jerome always said he knew she was the one the moment he saw her. He served in the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1967. Upon his return home, Uncle Jerome had automotive jobs until he went on disability. Then he helped take care of his sister-in-law Vickie Taylor's three children, whom he loved very much. He loved his whole family very much. Uncle Jerome was involved in the church for many years as a Sunday school teacher and has touched so many lives through the years. Uncle Jerome loved the Lord very much. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dennis Tripp; his sister, Marrate Romine; his in-laws, J.R and Mary Montgomery; and his brother-in-law, Marvin Montgomery. Uncle Jerome is survived by his wife, Margaret Tripp; his brother-in-law, George Montgomery, his wife Janet, and their four children; his sister-in-law, Kathy Montgomery and her three children; his sister-in-law, Vickie Taylor, husband Rick, and their three children; Jamie Peters, husband Derek, and their two boys; Zach Taylor, his wife Andrea, and their four girls; Jessica Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.
