Larry was a giant of a man, a big man in stature but no comparison to the person that he was in generosity of helping people with anything at anytime. He was a great friend and will be missed greatly. Niles Whalen

Terry and family, I am so sorry about Larry's death. I had the pleasure of talking to him about yard work just days before his death and he was his usual, sweet self. He was so kind, always happy, and a stellar human being. Larry will be so missed by so many. I hope your memories are funny and amazing. He is playing in a beautiful playground now. I will miss him.

Larry, you will be missed but never forgotten. You imparted upon so many, but to me your tremendous ability to listen without judgment was the most important. Even during your most trying times through your battle with cancer. You endured like a super hero, but did it with the humility of a monk. Your willingness to share your heart with Anthony and my sister will never be forgotten. You had the gift of adding to our lives. Those who might not have had the conversations that would last an hour or two, were still left with a beautiful gift given to them. I thank you for raising a couple of men who became, and will always be brothers to me. I won't say"rest in peace" because "rest" means something different to you. I will say, be in peace. Continue to point us in the right direction like you were always able to (for me especially). You are another angel, but an angel with muscle is something I've never had. I look forward to the day we can share one of your beautiful hugs again. We will continue on in this path called life and hopefully show you that your work here in the physical paid off. Maybe then you can find the meaning of "rest" . I love you Larry. Jake

I remember singing at Larry and Terri's wedding. What a joy it was to see them join together as husband and wife. Through the years he has always been a dependable and truly helpful friend, even as he battled illnesses. I will miss his kindness and humility. He now is healthy and whole in the presence of Jesus. What a glorious eternity!!

First I would like to send our most sincere condolences to Terri and the family. Please know you all are in our thoughts and prayers and it is our hope that you may find some sort of comfort during this most difficult time. My family and I moved across the street from Larry and Terri about 9 years ago. They were the first to welcome us to the neighborhood and instantly a friendship was born. Over the last week or so I have had much time to sit on my porch and reflect on how special of a man Larry was not only to my family but this entire neighborhood. A quote popped into my head one day and I think it sums Larry up pretty good: "Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same." ~Flavia Weedn Larry was that kind of person. He was genuine to the core and you knew it the first time you spoke with him. He cared for others, had compassion for others and you could instantly tell he had a heart of gold. He touched the lives of soooo many and what he did was set an example. You couldn't help but want to be a better person once you met Larry. Like ripples in a pond, Larry made a difference in all who knew him. The world needs more Larry's. He will be GREATLY missed by so many because he touched the heart, the soul and the lives of so many. May we all keep his memory alive by BEING what he stood for. He was a very honorable and kind man. My family and I are truly blessed to have known him and grateful for the time we had with him. We will forever miss him. Rest In Peace our dear, dear friend. All Our Love~ Trey, Andrea and family

Irene and I had the privilege of living next door to Larry (and Terri) for 30 plus years. I can't imagine anyone having a better neighbor. I don't know how many times I got up in the morning to shovel snow and found that my sidewalks and driveway had already been done. THANKS LARRY. Or coming back from vacation and finding our lawn had been mowed, and trimmed, and edged, and all the clippings blown away. THANKS LARRY. Or mentioning that I was going to do some project and Larry saying, "How can I help" or "What can I do to help." Larry always said how he needed to keep busy, and I think the whole neighborhood benefited from his "business". THANKS LARRY. Thanks for being a great neighbor, a great friend, and a great person. Rest in peace my friend.

I never met Larry, but I know what kind of man he was because I met and got to be friends with the son he raised. His values, kindness and compassion live on through his son Jarod and I know he must have been a good man and a great father. My sincere condolences to all his friends and family.

My memories of Larry will carry me to my Grave..He was one of my close friends for over 42 years..Assistant cub master, & BoyScout Leader...a true champion role model for his boys..+ he was a great co-worker @hp ~no cobwebs grew under his bum! His last 10 years were a true testament to the Man he was..fighting til the end to persevere as it was a chore for him to pull up his pants everyday & carry on...You will be sorely missed by all those you made an impact on! no trees for you~ just several cacti in your name planted on my Rez ~ < { ;o*). take care buddy, MT
