Obituary of James Edward Johnson
James Edward Johnson of Colorado Springs passed away peacefully in his sleep with his wife by his side on September 15, 2021 at the age of 82.�He is survived by his wife, Susan of fifty-four years; two daughters, Cheri Wells, and Wendy Leites and husband Glen; five grandchildren, Brad and wife Jess, Nichole and husband John, Cody, Nicholas, and Brandy; four great-grandchildren, Braelyn, Royce, Jyelle and� Navarro; brother, Don and wife Carol; sister-in-law, Martha; and his nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Opal; brothers, Bob, Bill, and Tom; and son-in-law, Jeff Wells. After serving in the army he and his brother, Bob started Johnson Brothers furniture shop in 1966. His brothers, Don and Tom, later joined the business. He enjoyed fishing, taxidermy and building water fountains, but above all he enjoyed spending time with his family. His favorite past time was watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune with his wife. Jim was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend. There was never a person he met that didn't like him. He will be remembered for his kind gentle soul that brought love and warmth to every life he touched. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he loved. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. We are eternally grateful for having you and we will always cherish the deep love and wonderful memories you brought to our family. You were a gift to the world and a greater gift to our family.�Rest in peace until we meet�again�,Your loving family.
