Obituary of Tobias Lisama Barela, Jr.

Tobias Lisama Barela, Jr. passed away September 17, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado surrounded by his loved ones. He was born October 4, 1939 to Tobias Lisama, Sr. and Maria (Castro) Barela in Gardner, Colorado.Tobias spent forty years working as a union laborer in the construction field. He loved to watch the Bronco games with friends and family, enjoyed westerns, fishing, camping and building cars.He was preceded by his parents, Tobias, Sr. and Maria, as well as his grandson, Manuel Vigil.Tobias is survived by his beloved wife, Emma; daughter, Julia Barela; sons, Toby, Tommy and Danny Barela; granddaughter, Chastidy Caperton; nephew, Anthony Barela; plus numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Tobias was incredibly loved and will be missed but never forgotten by his family. His memory lives on forever.Private services were held by immediate family.
