Howard Katz- "my best friend's dad":) I told Greg the other day that there are just a handful of people that help shape who you become. Parents, teachers, pastors, friends, etc. Howard met me just after I met his son playing high school tennis together. In just a brief time, Patricia & Howard would come to befriend me, feed me, invite me to all family gatherings, sleepovers, etc, etc. He did then, of course, become privy to most all of the happenings in my teenage life at the time (both trivial and significant), like when I totaled my mother's car, for the SECOND time:/ Howard's reaction? "You should use our car to get to work until you get yours replaced." Said car, by the way, was an already vintage Chevy Chevelle in mint condition. Only a fool or an angel makes such an offer. I accepted, got to work on time for several weeks, and grew up a little that summer as I learned that some people just love you and have your back- no matter what. Howard was no fool and his love and generosity is eternal in me. Peace and love to the Katz family in this hard time. Howard, my friend, I'll see you on the other side, even if I have to borrow your wings for the first few weeks! Dave Bott

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Dad, and Husband, Howard. I did not get the opportunity to meet him personally, but I've heard many wonderful stories from Marcy and have seen beautiful photos on Facebook. It is evident he was a ray of light and a wonderful soul who was very special to so many. My deepest condolences. Love and prayers to the family, Erin Bodien

Howard and I met when we were 10 years old and grew up to high school together. Right very clean we had a lot of fun at his house after both my father and his mother passed away a short time apart his house was at 4180 Hinsdale Rd. and weepy going to call the 4180 club. We hung out there and had a great time his father told her she had it which was great! That we hadn't seen each other for a long time and didn't really see each other much once We grew up, we stayed in touch over the years. He will be greatly missed!
